Product Description

Instituted and awarded while the war was still running in the Crimea, Queen Victoria was
insistent that her soldiers and sailors should receive medals as soon as possible, accordingly the issue of this medal and its clasps for Alma and Inkermann were first awarded personally by Her Majesty
on 18th May 1855.
The medals come in a variety of naming styles and un-named, such was the speed with which the medals were required to be delivered to the servicemen it was deemed too long a delay to name them individually. Later issues were officially impressed and those issued un-named were in a number of instances named by the Regiments or the individuals themselves.
All clasps are available to this uniquely designed medal which is die-struck to the same standards as the original awards.
Clasps:
Alma
Balaklava
Inkerman
Sebastopol
Azoff
