Full Size 1939-45 Star

Three equal stripes of dark blue, scarlet and light blue, representing the armed services. This was the basic war service star and was generally awarded to men who had completed six months active service (two months for aircrew) overseas. Those awarded this star were eligible for others if they served in other theatres of operation.
