Product Description

Authorised in 1847 and issued in 1848, this medal represents to peninsular war campaign as well as actions in Egypt and the war against the USA of 1812-1813.
In total 29 clasps were authorised for award to survivors only of actions dating back to 1801 (Egypt) up to the battle of Toulouse in 1814. Officers who had received a gold medal for any action were not awarded the bar for that action on the MGS.
This example is die struck and features a swivelling suspension and all clasps are available. The medals are assembled in the original manner so please allow 14 days for this assembly process.
